After having travelled from Colorado to California across the Great Basin of Nevada, the bulkhead is examined on the welding table. Numerous holes have been cut into the steel by a torch and tin snips. A very sad treatment for such a piece of craftsmanship. |

This is a view of the DS (drivers side) footwell. While there is a great deal of surface rust, the main concern is found on the right half of the image. A very large hole exists right in a complex and bend laden portion of the footwell, this will be difficult. |
|
Looking down on the PS footwell, we can see a large patch has been installed. This will have to be removed and returned to an original appearance. Also visible are two smaller hole on the right, these will prove to be larger than anticipated. |

A view of the tunnel, looking towards the smaller holes mentioned above. The main problem here is the thrashed "tunnel" visible in the top left. Complete with tweaked tabs and a giant hole resembling Baja. |
|
Believe it or not, this is a good portion. Fairly minimal surface rust, while the steel may be thinner here, it is at least unharmed. |

An inverted view of the PS dash cavity. The base of the dash has a decent amount of surface rust, but this should clean up well. No significant damage here. |
